Nadia's year reflection

My year in grade 5

Was fun and I got better at reading, wright and math. Even though i improved I am working even harder now to achieve more. In this year i learned more than I even learned i my hole life. This year I won't forget in my life all the hard work all the paper, blank to full. all the problems easy to hard, and read  minutes to hours. Not only I improved others too. I noticed  that when we parter up.

 response to parent question

 1. During grade "5", what are main areas, you think, you made a significant improvements? How you made it ?
one of the areas  that I have  improved this year  is in reading. In the  fourth grade, I  read easy simple picture books and now, I  read chapter books like Ida B about a boy that heard a apple tree talk and they wanted to cut it.
2. your achievements and challenges in language arts( reading, writing, listening and speaking) do you have some planes during the summer holiday to over come some challenges?
I didn't think of that before yet, but v have a list of challenges.
1Math test.
 spelling
3 reading
 map testing

your experience in math at grade 5?how did you manage changes, what are your achievement and challenges?
I  changed alto because eureka math is new for me. I struggled to explain but now I am fine.

evidence
as a result from my work I have bean improving in day life by learning new strategies to take notes . I worked hard at writing and reading. at reading I read more than before. and in writing I write more and with more hard vocabulary.

Reading

In reading I improved my reading stamina and I read more.I never read that much before.I change the types  of book that I read. Tine thin to thick and big. Time by time I enjoyed reading. In the beginning of the year I never liked or read any fiction books because I thought they are boring but later on this year in read aloud Mrs. Kasel read us a book called wonder by R.J PALACIO. This book changed my life up side down not only the point of the author, it changed my interest. I read the auggie and my book and bunch of  realistic fiction. Then when I got bored, I started reading mystery. Now I am reading different garners.

Writing

writhing is on of the most thing improved in, but I am not perfect at printing. That is one  of the things i can work on. In writing I enjoyed informational, poetry and argumentative. thought writing is trying when you write long but that is not true because after awhile you get use to write alto. I still love writing even if I bad at spelling.

math

math is not my favorite it is not boring it is just hard for my draw and use specific strategies. Or i make some silly mistakes like instead of 0 6 because my hand writing in not tidy so I make some  mistakes. I don't  get good grades I worry or my heads gets blank or some silly mistakes

science

I thought science was hard and fun because science was fast for me to finish some of the work like me  and   it is a very fun way of education but some times  I get confused by some instruction.

social studies

social studies is fun special history, like the aztecs. In the begging of the year I thought social studies was boring but now no,because I missed the fun and the new in formation. I enjoyed it because it is fun learning old stuff. I think it is fun.

core values

this year is the first year learning the core. I really like that cac have there own core values. this year was a great opportunity in participating in perseverance. and live to the fullest  with it and run the next mile .

 most challenging ........

one of the most challenging things was the map test and math.

most enjoyable..,.....

one of the most enjoyable things was writing. I REALLY enjoyed writing with Mrs.Kasel.

most proud of.........

I  am proud of all of my friends and classmates improvement.

most growth..........

I am most growth in reading.

Rapid versus slow process of erosion

The world changes with our environment some take a long time. it is called slow process of erosion. and there is another one the opposite of  slow process of erosion called fast  process of erosion. One example of slow process of erosion: is when the rock form a mountain.
fast process of erosion: is when a volcano awakes.

Thesis Statement

name of article: food with robots

claim: will food will be connected to technology?

1. will people and farmers will farm with there hands?
The only reason why I picked this question is because it is one of the main points in farming food.
2.will food be delicious and healthy  that is made by  robots?
it is interesting  because what will happen if robots will plant and cooke will people get diseases will they die. so that is really important.
3.will robots farm?
4. will robots discover food?

4 corner activity reflection

some thing I enjoyed about the it that I had fun listening  to all of the different opinions.

-The Internet has made the world smaller

what really surprised  me that in this statements that some people strongly agreed, I strongly disagreed. Some of the reasons they said that because people stay on their phones that means internet. But why did I strongly disagree because i live fare away from the rest of my family so we face time.

-Climate change is caused by people

This statement really surprised  me because some peopled strongly agreed and remembered me of global warming but I strongly disagreed and said that people don't control the weather and they are not super heroes to change the weather and the world rotates around  it self and the sun so that is how the weather changed. So then I changed my mind a bit.

experiment four: aquatic erosion.

Question:    what happens we two streams come together with big and small cup.

hypothesis:     that the water will connect and after a while  there will be one big river

materials:  water, two cup with hole, tray, sand, rule, computer, wooden wag, clay, bucket.

procedure:  we put sand and clay  28cm in the tray and then put it on the wooden wag then put the water in the cups with a hole and poured water in it and put the bucket near the tray on the ground.

observation:       we saw that the cup with the bigger hole was so quick and the other one was so  slow. The big one formed a valley but the other one formed a valley for a long time and it was steep and it finished  later  than the first one

wadi field trip

Hi! my name is Nadia. Today I went to a field trip, to wadi. when first we exit the bus i felt  the dusty air in my lungs and this piles of sand  on my feat, as the knowledge  hoped in my head.

Then me and my friend, Laila ran together to the spot that we should eat there. Then we got so tired so we nearly died on the was. We were in the last row.  Laila and I  were scared of scorpions and snakes so we were so careful but exited.

Me and Laila finally reached that place. After this we sat down and ate. Dr. bill is a geographical scientist. He  talked about the wadi and that it was a ocean!!!

Before  it was a wadi, sharks and whales and fish lived there. At first I could not believe  it. Then I did, because how could the erosion happen though? Then people were taking notes happily to learn all of that facts.

Then we were aloud to explore the wadi and I found a special rock that I took it home with me. Then me and Laila went to explore then we found a beetle  under a rock. Then Laila my friend found a bee in her bag on the paper so then my other friend  Hoda tried to kill it then she didn't  kill it then I   tried to kill it before killing it, the other bee that came out of no wear stung me then i killed the other one. Then the crowd climbed  up but near the top i got screed  so i climbed  down.

Then I stayed with Miss. Yasmin talking. Then we ate lunch. final we took the long way bake. I was so tired.

my reflection
The things that I did well is that: That I have plenty of information in the book, and all the information were clear and that I had clear pictures and that I explained every word and I research a lot and I included my opinion. I have to include
