  •  Flood: an overflow of large amount of water beyond its limit
  • weathering:weathering is a natural process  that slowly breaks apart or changes rocks.
  • deforestation: cutting down forests.
  • earth's plate: a chain of volcano surround  the pacific ocean. There are  two sides.
  • landslide: a mass of soil  or rocks moving a slope is known as a landslide.
  • glaciers: it is many of the world's highest mountain, the heat of summer is not a must to melt, all the snow from winter.
  • rapid process erosion: when erosion happens fast.
  • slow process erosion: when erosion happens  slow.
  •  tsunami: under water earthquake happen the waves come and a tsunami.
  • earthquake: ground shakes. happens when the lava under earth hit a rock then it shakes the earth.

experiment four: aquatic erosion.

Question:    what happens we two streams come together with big and small cup.

hypothesis:     that the water will connect and after a while  there will be one big river

materials:  water, two cup with hole, tray, sand, rule, computer, wooden wag, clay, bucket.

procedure:  we put sand and clay  28cm in the tray and then put it on the wooden wag then put the water in the cups with a hole and poured water in it and put the bucket near the tray on the ground.

observation:       we saw that the cup with the bigger hole was so quick and the other one was so  slow. The big one formed a valley but the other one formed a valley for a long time and it was steep and it finished  later  than the first one

conclusion:      that there were a river and that was connected in 10cm at then end.

wadi field trip

Hi! my name is Nadia. Today I went to a field trip, to wadi. when first we exit the bus i felt  the dusty air in my lungs and this piles of sand  on my feat, as the knowledge  hoped in my head.

Then me and my friend, Laila ran together to the spot that we should eat there. Then we got so tired so we nearly died on the was. We were in the last row.  Laila and I  were scared of scorpions and snakes so we were so careful but exited.

Me and Laila finally reached that place. After this we sat down and ate. Dr. bill is a geographical scientist. He  talked about the wadi and that it was a ocean!!!

Before  it was a wadi, sharks and whales and fish lived there. At first I could not believe  it. Then I did, because how could the erosion happen though? Then people were taking notes happily to learn all of that facts.

Then we were aloud to explore the wadi and I found a special rock that I took it home with me. Then me and Laila went to explore then we found a beetle  under a rock. Then Laila my friend found a bee in her bag on the paper so then my other friend  Hoda tried to kill it then she didn't  kill it then I   tried to kill it before killing it, the other bee that came out of no wear stung me then i killed the other one. Then the crowd climbed  up but near the top i got screed  so i climbed  down.

Then I stayed with Miss. Yasmin talking. Then we ate lunch. final we took the long way bake. I was so tired.

experiment three: flood

Question:    what happens when the fore of the water is in creased?

hypothesis:     it will turn to mud.

materials:  water, two cup with hole, tray, sand, rule, computer, wooden wag, clay, bucket .

procedure:  we put sand and clay  28cm in the tray and then put it on the wooden wag then put the water in the cup with a hole and poured water in it and put the bucket near the tray on the ground.first  it was muddy  then it formed a canyon then while it was forming a canyon a whole were we put the cup formed!

 observation:

conclusion:       that it formed a canyon

experiment two: deposition

Question:    what  happens to the land that gets eroded?

hypothesis:   that the land will  be a layer and the water will be dirt.

materials:  water, two cup with hole, tray, sand, rule, computer, wooden wag, clay, bucket .

procedure:  we put sand and clay  28cm in the tray and then put it on the wooden wag then put the water in the cup with a hole and poured water in it and put the bucket near the tray on the ground.

observation:   that slowly it was getting very muddy and wet.

conclusion:   it was muddy and  very wet.
